Information For Librarians
The Journal of Mass Spectrometry and Advances in the Clinical Lab (JMSACL), in partnership with the non-profit Stanford University Press (SUP), is making it easier than ever to publish and access cutting-edge research in laboratory medicine.
Previously published by a commercial entity at great expense to the journals owners, the transition of the journal in 2026 to SUP marks a significant milestone. While JMSACL continues to be owned by MSACL, it now benefits from the infrastructure and nonprofit mission of an academic publisher.
In 2026 the journal is supported through its publisher's limited grant funding and remains under a Diamond Open Access model, meaning there are no APCs or subscription fees to publish or read. In 2027 the journal is planning to transition to the Subscribe to Open model, in order to continue offering $0 APCs for authors.
